What’s New in Doors.NET v5.4.0.8?

We are continually striving to provide you with more secure, reliable, and innovative solutions. The latest update to Doors.NET v5.4.0.8 includes significant enhancements to ensure your access control system operates more efficiently than ever. This update also adds support for the new Mercury hardware and introduces a new feature for temporary cardholders.

Here’s a brief overview of what’s new:

Mercury MP Controller Support

Platinum Partner MP

The new Mercury MP controllers are now officially supported in Doors.NET – These next-generation controllers from Mercury offer several advancements:

  • Industry-leading security: Features like secure boot, ARM TrustZone, and modern encryption ensure top-notch protection.
  • Rock-solid reliability: Designed with durable components to ensure long-term performance.-
  • Wide compatibility: These controllers work seamlessly with various access control manufacturers and support OSDP for an open solution.
  • Full compatibility: They are fully compatible with previous Mercury EP and LP controllers.

Please note that Mercury EP controllers are now considered obsolete, though they will still function with Doors.NET. Moving forward, the Mercury MP controllers will be the standard supply. Additionally, the Mercury MP controllers are fully interchangeable and backward-compatible with the LP and EP models.

Temporary Upgrade Settings – New Functionality

The Cardholder Temporary Upgrade Settings feature is now available. This allows you to change the access rights assigned to a cardholder temporarily. If you need to grant someone additional access for a limited time—perfect for contractors, audits, or special projects—you can now easily upgrade a cardholder’s access rights. This feature is compatible with NXT-MSC and Authentic Mercury hardware.

Final Version with Development for PXL and Entraguard

⚠️ Final version with PXL & Entraguard development on Doors.NET—future updates will move to Borealis, our cloud-based platform.

We are shifting our development support for PXL and Entraguard hardware exclusively to Borealis. While these hardware types will still be compatible with Doors.NET versions 5.4.0.8 or below, their ongoing compatibility will shift solely to Borealis. This allows our engineers to concentrate on maintaining compatibility for the PXL and Entraguard on a single platform. The good news is that you can convert your existing solutions with PXL and Entraguard directly to the cloud.
