Doors.NET v6.1.0 – Release Highlights

May 8th, 2026

Doors.NET v6.1.0 is now available, bringing a range of improvements focused on performance, integrations, and easier system management for installers and administrators.

Here are some of the key updates included in this release:

SQL Server 2025 Support

New installations of Doors.NET will now use SQL Server Express 2025 by default if no existing SQL installation is detected.

The installer has also been improved to detect Windows 11 NVMe disk sector issues that could prevent SQL from installing correctly.

Smarter Active Directory / LDAP Syncing

Active Directory integration has been enhanced to simplify user management.

When an Active Directory Security Group is linked to a Doors.NET Access Group:

  • Users added to the AD group are now automatically added to the Doors.NET Access Group
  • Users removed from the AD group are automatically removed as well

Additional LDAP improvements also resolve issues with duplicate Department/Cost Center entries and syncing timeouts caused by cardholder photos.

Faster Access Group Setup

You can now create a copy of an existing Access Group – including its assigned readers and schedules – helping speed up system configuration and deployment.

Expanded Lenel OnGuard Import Support

The Lenel OnGuard Import Wizard now supports systems up to version 8.0, making migrations and takeovers even easier.

Mercury MP Firmware Updates

This release includes new Mercury MP firmware (v2.100), which adds support for:

  • OTIS Destination Dispatch integration on MP4502 controllers

Additional Mercury/Aperio improvements have also been included to resolve duplicate online/offline event reporting.

PXL & Entraguard Support Has Ended

  • Doors.NET v6.x no longer supports:
    • PXL controllers
    • Entraguard controllers
    • Existing PXL gateways will block installation until removed or disabled.
  • The final supported version for PXL/Entraguard:
    • Doors.NET v5.4.0.8
