⚠ END OF SUPPORT NOTICE
Doors.NET 4.X has Reached
End of Support
On September 15, 2026, Keri Systems will discontinue all technical support, including any in-place bug fixes and diagnostics for Doors.NET version 4.x and all earlier releases.
SUPPORT ENDS
September 15, 2026
Software that’s five years old can’t keep pace with today’s threats.
By September 15, 2026, Doors.NET 4.x will no longer receive support from Keri Systems. Customers contacting Support while on an unsupported version will be required to upgrade before assistance can be provided – without exception.
5+
Years old at the deadline
The most recent 4.x release will be over five years old when support ends.
248
Fixes you’re missing
Since v4.0.1, Keri has resolved 248 software issues, all of which are included in v6.1.
204
Features & Improvements
Since v4.0.1, Keri has delivered 204 new features and software improvements through v6.1.
Why upgrading is important.
Unsupported access control software puts your organization – and the people whose data you hold at real, documented risk.
⚠ Critical
Issues Already Corrected
Many issues reported to Technical Support have already been resolved in newer releases. If you’re running an older version, there’s a good chance your issue has already been fixed.
⚠ Critical
Ransomware & Cyberattacks
Older software may rely on Windows or SQL Server versions that no longer receive Microsoft security updates. These vulnerabilities are outside Keri’s control, increasing the risk of ransomware and cyberattacks.
⚠ High
Data Loss & Corruption
Older software can become incompatible with modern operating systems and hardware. If your system fails after support ends, Keri Technical Support cannot assist with recovery or restoration.
⚠ High
Exposure of Confidential Records
Your access control database may contain sensitive employee and visitor information. A breach or compromised database could expose this data, leading to operational, legal and reputational consequences.
IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTICE: UNSUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSION
If you are currently using an outdated and unsupported version of Doors.NET that has reached end-of-life status. This version is no longer maintained by KERI SYSTEMS, INC. and poses significant security risks, including cybersecurity vulnerabilities. KERI SYSTEMS, INC. strongly recommends that you immediately upgrade to a current supported version of software. Contact your installer for details.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Versions of Doors.NET are affected?
Doors.NET version 4.x and all earlier releases reach end of support on September 15, 2026. This includes all versions through and including v4.9.0. Versions 5.2.0 and later are currently supported – meaning Keri Technical Support is available to Integrators for configuration, hardware, and troubleshooting queries, and customers have access to the latest bug fixes and improvements by staying current with new releases.
What happens if I don't upgrade by the deadline?
Your system will continue to operate, but Keri Technical Support will not be available to your Integrator until you upgrade to a supported version – this applies without exception. Bug fixes and improvements are only available in newer releases; customers on 4.x have no path to resolve known issues other than upgrading.
Who do I contact if I need help planning my upgrade?
End-users should contact the integrator who installed or services their system. If you’re unsure who that is, Keri Systems can connect you with a local expert. Integrators can contact Keri’s support and sales teams for upgrade planning and licensing assistance.
I'm an integrator - how do I identify which customers are affected?
The Version Checker can be used at individual customer sites to confirm installed versions. We recommend proactively reaching out to sites that haven’t been upgraded recently, particularly those installed more than three to four years ago.
Can I move to Borealis instead of upgrading Doors.NET?
Yes. Borealis supports virtually all existing Keri hardware, and Keri can migrate your Doors.NET database directly to Borealis. Moving to Borealis means your software is always current – there are no future version deadlines to track.
Do I need to buy new hardware to move to Borealis?
In most cases, all of your hardware is compatible with Borealis. You may need some extra hardware to enable Cloud connectivity, but your Controllers, Readers, Credentials, and Configuration are generally migrated easily to the cloud.
