Home 5 Article 5 Keri Systems and Allegion Integration

Keri Systems has announced a series of deeper and wider integration with the Allegion Wireless lock products and an adjustment in the way in which they will jointly go to market.

Many synergies exist between Keri Systems and Allegion; not the least of which are shared common Distribution Channels and alignment across a wide range of project types. Recently, Keri and Allegion have teamed-up to quote a number of larger, enterprise-level projects with current quoted doors well in excess of 1000. To date, there have also been a number of large successful integrations, which are either complete or continually growing.

NXT Series and Allegion Wireless Locks

Originally, Keri had interfaced to the Allegion AD-400 series and to date this integration accounts for many of the successful projects. Recently, Keri upped the capacity of their NXT series controllers, to handle a larger number of Allegion wireless locks. Consequently, Keri’s interface to Allegion is more cost effective today, and easier to deploy.

Keri increased the capacity from 16 locks on a 4-door controller, all the way up to 64 locks on that same controller. Keri’s NXT series controllers come in 2 and 4 door versions with up to 16 locks on an RS-485 door port.

Interfacing

More recently, Keri has interfaced to Allegion’s NDE and LE series locksets, utilizing Allegion’s EngageTM Gateway. These locks can be deployed at a rate of 10 locks per trunk. In other words Keri supports 20 locks on a 2-door controller and 40 doors on a 4-door controller. There are plans in place to interface to the Allegion ControlTM Lock and the Allegion WiFi series locks, at which point Keri will support all wireless products manufactured by Allegion.

Business with Keri

Business and channel considerations have changed as well, with Keri Systems opting to sell the lock licenses only and not re-market the locks. There may be an occasional exception to this rule, but Keri and Allegion share some common distribution partners and it has been deemed in the interest of both companies, to respect and support that channel.

“We all came to this party together and we all have skin in the game,” said Vince Deiuliis, Director of Sales and Marketing at Keri Systems. “It continues to be in our best interest to proceed as a team and enjoy the fruits or our collective resources.”

Stay tuned to more news from the respective marketing arms of Keri Systems and Allegion. There are a lot of new initiatives on the horizon and most of the developments will come quickly, as the engineering is well underway and fundamentally established.
